The 10 commandments and islam

I was often in the situation, that during dawah, Christians were throwing up the question: The 10 commandments from God are the basics of every civilized society. How can Muslims call themselves civilized, if they don't believe in the 10 commandments?????
The question made me laugh quit often. You wonder why? Well, the 10 commandments of Christians is the biggest contradiction with their own church's teachings and believes. One of the reasons, why so many Christians are converting to Islam. They realize the first doubts about their faith, once they are comparing the 10 commandments with the doctrines of their church. Here the explanation, why, explained on the basis of the commandments itself:

"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

a) christians are worshipping Jesus as God.
b) muslims are worshipping Allah / God only. Is part of our confession of faith to say: there is no deities but Allah.

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

a) christians are keeping statues and pictures in catholic churches, with images of Aissa / Jesus, some even with an old men with long white beard, claiming it would be Allah/God.
b) as for muslims here a hadith (there are many) which is forbidding picture-drawing: Ayisha said: Once the Prophet came back from one of his travels, (came into the house) and I had covered a wall with a Qiram (a thin woolen garment) with pictures on it. The Prophet got angry and cut the Qiram and said: "The worst punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be for those who imitate the creation of Allah (by making pictures)." [Bukhari and Muslim]. The Prophet said: "A tongue-like fire will come out of Hell (on the Day of Resurrection) and say: I am the punishment for whoever worshipped other than Allah, and a stubborn tyrant, and the picture makers." [An authentic Hadith].

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

a) to swear by God or saying OMG for no reason became common practice worldwide.
b) as for muslims, of course there are those who are sinning too, but this hadith is explaining the excess of punishment if doing so: On the authority of Salman (ra), it is reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Peace Be Upon Him) said:
"There are three types of people to whom Allah will not speak and neither will he bless them and for them is a severe torment. They are: (i) The white-haired old adulterer; (ii) the arrogant beggar; and (iii) the one who makes Allah as his merchandise: He does not purchase except by swearing (by Allah swt ) and he does not sell except by swearing (by Allah swt )." (Narrated by At-Tabarani, with an authentic Sanad)

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

a) as for christians: Sabbath is on sunday, the 7th day of creation, which is ordered to rest upon. for jews it is on saturday
b) as for muslims: According to the Quoran: " And We said to them, “Do not violate Sabbath, and We took from them a solemn Covenant” (4:154)

“He created the heavens and the Earth in six days, and then He settled down on the Throne to administer matters”. (10:3)

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

a) as for christians, i saw the "respect" european youth is showing towards their parents.
b) as for muslims, respect and obedience toward parents is our duty. What the Quoran says: "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as] 'uff' [i.e., an expression of irritation or disapproval] and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say: 'My Lord! Have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'" [Quran 17:23-24]

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

a) if christians shouldn't murder... why did they kill 48,644 Afghan, 1,690,903 Iraqi people and 30000 pakistanis????
b) as for muslims: Murder is strictly forbidden in the Qur’an. Qur’an 6:151 says, “and do not kill a soul that God has made sacrosanct, save lawfully.” (i.e. murder is forbidden but the death penalty imposed by the state for a crime is permitted). 5:53 says, “… whoso kills a soul, unless it be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and he who saves a life, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind.”

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

a) in todays western world, which claims to be based on christian values, adultery became normality. already 20 years ago, this were the statistics: 1. The 1990 Kinsey Report states that around 50% of all married people will commit adultery during their lifetime. The number is usually about 5% higher among men. Women are less likely to commit adultery but not by much. 2. Some other studies propose even higher numbers than the ones given above claiming that the adultery rate is around 70%. Meanwhile some statistics are claiming a rate of over 80%!!!!!!!
b) The Qur'anic general rule that commands Muslims not to commit zināʾ:
“Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).”
— Qur'an, Sura 17 (Al-Isra), ayat 32[1]
Several other verses are handling the punishment of adultery (mentioning 100 lashes as punishment for zina)

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

a) as for christians: western law is going quit easy on theft. Its punishment in most western societies nowadays hardly a few dollar penalty.
b) as for islam: theft is considered to be a major sin, and its punishment is harsh but effective to keep away from practicing the sin: “And (as for) the male thief and the female thief, cut off (from the wrist joint) their hands as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.”
(Aayah No. 38, Surah Al-Ma’idah, Chapter No. 5, Holy Qur’an).

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

a) as for christians it is only mentioned to not bear false witness against your neighbour.
b)as for muslims: false witnessing is regarded to be a great sin, regardless against whom:
In Qoran: “And They (Servants of God) do not testify falsely.” (25:72)
In Hadeeth:
Narrated Abu Bakra: The Prophet(PBUH) said thrice, “Should I inform you out the greatest of the great sins?” They said, “Yes, O Allah’s Apostle!” He said, “To join others in worship with Allah and to be undutiful to one’s parents.” The Prophet then sat up after he had been reclining (on a pillow) and said, “And I warn you against giving a false witness, and he kept on saying that warning till we thought he would not stop.(Sahih Bukhari Book 52, Hadith 18)
Bearing false witness, spreading fake news, submitting wrong testimonials, telling lies are sins related to each other. Believers should keep away from these habits. Prophet has included bearing false witness along with great sins like shirk (associating partners with Allah) and doing harm to parents. This itself signifies the severity of this vice.

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

a) if christians are not supposed to covet what other have, why are they inviding oil-rich countries?????
b)as for muslims, the Quoran says:
“And do not covet what Allah has favored some of you over others."
( 4:32 )

“And do not stretch your eyes towards what We have provided some of them.” (15:88)

Attending the funeral of non-muslims

Im sorry for neglecting my blog for so long. I didn't have the possibility to write for a while. I hope from now on i will be able to post more often on my blog. Todays topic inspiration: Someone asked me - Is it permissable for a Muslim to atend a non Muslim burial or visit the family of the deseased ? Specially converts are often confronted with the situation and often insecure whether to attend the funeral of a non-muslim relativ, or not. Here is the fatwa i found....

Attending a non-Muslim neighbor's funeral:
According to one hadith of the Prophet (SallAllâhu ‘Alaihi Wasallam) related by Tabarani regarding the rights of neighbors it says: "The rights of the neighbor is that, when he is sick you visit him;
when he dies, you go to his funeral;........" Since this hadith is talking about neighbors and
the neighbor can be a non-muslim, so is it permissible for the Muslim to attend a non-Muslim's funeral?

* Please shed light on this issue in accordance with the Qur'an and the Hadith. * Also this issue is very important for the new Muslims whose parents have not accepted Islam. Is it permissible to attend a funeral for the non-Muslim parents?

✿✿✿ Praise be to Allah ✿✿✿
It is permissible for a Muslim to attend a kaafir’s funeral if the kaafir is a relative, such as a mother, father, brother or other relative, but it is not permissible to join in the prayers or any other rites of their religion.

Zakariya al-Ansaari (RadhiAllahu 'Anhu) said:
“He may (i.e., it is allowed for the Muslim and is not makrooh) attend the funeral of a kaafir relative, because of the report narrated by Abu Dawood from ‘Ali who said, ‘When Abu Talib died, I came to the Messenger of Allah (SallAllâhu ‘Alaihi Wasallam) and said, ‘Your uncle, the misguided old man, has died.’ He said, ‘Go and bury him.’”
(Reported by al-Nisaa'i, 190).

Al-Adhraa’i said: “It is possible that this includes permission to attend the funeral of a wife or slave…”

Hadith on Death (Funeral):

The Prophet (SallAllâhu ‘Alaihi Wasallam)  stood up for the funeral of a Jew out of respect for his humanity Ibn Abu Laila reported: Sahl ibn Hunaif and Qais ibn Sa’d ibn Ubaidah were in

Al-Qadisiyyah when a funeral passed by them, so they stood up and it was said to them, “It is one of the local people.” They both said: A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah (SallAllâhu ‘Alaihi Wasallam) , and he stood up. It was said to him, “It is a Jew.” So the Prophet said, “Was he not a soul?”
